Andreas Lohmar, PT, Cert. MDT, began his career in physical therapy in the early 1990s and has practiced in the area since 1991. Andreas has a strong manual therapy background, which is an outgrowth of his training in Germany. He has been holding the distinction of being a Certified McKenzie Therapist since 2002. More recently, Andreas has earned the distinction of TPI Level 2 certified clinician. The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world’s leading educational organization and research facility dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional tour players to weekend enthusiasts. TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. Gretchen J. Zartman-Espich, MSPT
Gretchen J. Zartman-Espich, MSPT, comes to Summit Physical Therapy with 20 plus years of experience in the outpatient setting. She is a manual therapist with extensive experience in treatment of chronic pain and Aquatic Therapy. She is Graston Certified (a special technique used to treat strains, sprains and tendonitis of any kind). She has studied numerous manual therapy courses, including Maitland and Mulligan techniques. Gretchen is currently taking courses toward her McKenzie Certification.

Ashley Holt, DPT
Ashley came to Summit Physical Therapy in 2019. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015 and practiced in both outpatient and inpatient settings in the Chicago area for four years. During that time, she advanced her education by taking all the required McKenzie MDT courses, and is planning to take her exam to become a certified McKenzie Practitioner in 2021. She believes that the McKenzie Method provides patients with the invaluable education needed to understand and treat their pain in order to prevent re-injury. Ashley grew up in Fort Wayne, but lived in the Chicago area for eight years where she attended school and worked. Joe Keane, PTA
Joe, a native of Fort Wayne, graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 2009 with a Physical Therapist Assistant Degree. He has practiced since 2009, and joined Summit Physical Therapy in May of 2017. Joe has taken numerous manual therapy courses, including Maitland and Mulligan, and is currently pursuing additional training in the McKenzie technique. He has also been trained in vestibular rehabilitation (balance, dizziness, and vertigo disorders including benign paroxymal positional vertigo (BPPV). With an extensive background in swimming, Joe enjoys working with aquatic therapy patients in the pool. He is married to his wife Courtney, and has a daughter Marlow and son Weston. Jonathan Garmyn, PTA
Jon has been with Summit Physical Therapy since May 2018. He graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2014 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He has refined his manual skills and uses the McKenzie Method and other manual techniques for the treatment of patients with chronic and acute back and neck pain. He has continued to attend post-graduate seminars to further his knowledge and skills in the field of musculoskeletal injuries. Jodi Scherrer, Office Manager
Jodi assumed the position of Administrative Assistant at Summit Physical Therapy in October 2016, overseeing many front office functions. She enthusiastically took on various additional responsibilities in 2018 when she received her Business Degree, with a specialization in Healthcare. Her positive attitude is contagious and motivates everyone to do their best. Jodi is a busy mom, married with three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out, reading and watching Purdue football.
Michelle Horn, Administrative Assistant
Michelle joined Summit Physical Therapy in March 2021 as an administrative assistant. She grew up in Bluffton and has lived in Fort Wayne since getting married in 2012. She has a daughter named Azalia and a son named Matthias. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and dancing.
